The year is 2085; the bastards have won it all, and you don’t own a thing.

Not your home, not your health, not your privacy, not your sanity. But you can rent them. Welcome to the gig economy.

After decades of brutal austerity and a growing billionaire class, the state has been hollowed out to its gory extreme; the Metropolitan police force, cannibalised by corporate tech giants.  Enter the "gig pigs": freelance, gig-working cops chasing five-star reviews and whatever pay they can to keep the lights on.

So-called ‘Gig Pig’ DS Dennis Harker receives a high-priority notification on his UberPeace app;  a standard case of AI-induced psychosis, it would seem.   But it becomes apparent to Dennis that this gig is more than he’d bargained for, slowly unravelling into an occult conspiracy beyond his grasp.

Hand-drawn in pen and ink, Gig Pigs Part 1: Caliban’s Dream is a descent into an all but dead world, haunted by futures rotted on the vine. A world not worth fighting for, full of desperate people trying to protect what little stakes they have in it.
